Foraged Butcher
Foraged Butcher is a new kind of meat brand—one that blends single-source beef or pork with mushrooms to create a fifty/fifty product that’s lighter, healthier, and more sustainable. Our challenge was to build a visual identity and packaging system that clearly communicated what made this product different while standing out in a competitive grocery landscape. It needed to feel modern, honest, and just a little unexpected—something that could appeal to health-conscious shoppers without losing its connection to flavor and tradition.

Strategy & Design Process
We built the brand around a modular tile system: abstract illustrations representing individual ingredients, like chili flakes, fennel, or mushrooms, each designed to fit within a square grid. These tiles come together to form flavor-forward patterns unique to each product. The illustration style is intentionally playful and abstract, giving the brand a light, imaginative tone. Paired with a strategic two-color palette for each product—chosen to reflect both ingredients and usage moments—the system brings clarity, consistency, and dimension to every touchpoint.
A kinetic brand system
The final system is flexible, ownable, and instantly recognizable. From packaging to sales materials to branded merch, every element reinforces the product’s core story: high-quality meat, thoughtfully blended with mushrooms, brought to life through design. The result is a brand that feels fresh on the shelf and grounded in the real ingredients that make it different.
